Kérastase Spécifique Bain Riche Dermo-Calm is a creamy 250ml shampoo for a sensitive, irritated-feeling scalp with dry hair. Kérastase calls it hypoallergenic and says it soothes the scalp while nourishing dry lengths. It contains sulfates and parabens.
How it works
Sodium laureth sulfate cleanses, PEG-based emollients, glycerin and sunflower and tamanu (calophyllum) oils soften, and piroctone olamine is a scalp-purifying active. Menthoxypropanediol gives a cooling feel.
Who it suits
Sensitive or tight scalps with dry lengths, including after sun, salt and chlorine. For normal to oily hair with a sensitive scalp, Kérastase points to Bain Vital.
What it will not do
- It is not paraben-free or sulfate-free (sodium methylparaben, ethylparaben, sodium laureth sulfate) and contains a blue colourant (CI 42090).
- It does not treat medical scalp conditions. See a doctor for persistent itching or flaking.
Good to know
Massage gently into the wet scalp without scratching, spread the foam through the lengths, rinse thoroughly and repeat if needed.
