KERASTASE Genesis Bain Nutri-Fortifiant Shampoo 250ml

Kérastase Genesis Bain Nutri-Fortifiant is a 250ml nourishing, fortifying shampoo for dry, weakened, medium to thick hair that falls because it breaks. Kérastase says it cleanses gently while helping reinforce fragile fibres and reduce hair fall caused by breakage. It cleanses with sodium laureth sulfate and contains two silicones.

How it works

Dimethicone and amodimethicone soften and smooth the lengths, and glycerin adds moisture. The Genesis complex in the ingredient list includes ginger root extract, xylitylglucoside and a plant callus culture extract (edelweiss), which Kérastase uses to position the range for weakened hair.

Who it suits

Thick or medium hair that is dry and snaps when brushed, including hair stripped by Cyprus sun, sea water and chlorine.

What it will not do

• It does not treat hair loss. It targets fall caused by breakage. For sudden or heavy shedding, see a doctor or dermatologist.
• It is not sulfate-free or silicone-free.
• It is not for fine or oily hair. Choose the Bain Hydra-Fortifiant instead.
• It contains pearlescent mica and titanium dioxide, and fragrance allergens.

Good to know

Kérastase directs: wet hair and remove excess water, apply a small amount, add water and emulsify, then rinse and repeat.
